We request device location only after you choose “Use my location” and your browser asks for permission. You can enter a destination city or postal code instead. Device coordinates are rounded to two decimal places before they leave the page, which is roughly a neighborhood-sized area. Exact precision varies by latitude.
The rounded search area is sent to Word & Worship and, when connected, Geoapify to find nearby Christian places of worship. Results are cached for seven days using that approximate area, without attaching your account ID. We do not save your precise GPS position, maintain a location history, or track your location in the background.
A shared church catalogue
Public church names, addresses, coordinates, websites and map-source details are added to a shared directory when areas are searched. That catalogue contains church locations, not visitors’ locations or saved choices. Map listings may be incomplete or outdated and do not imply church verification or a partnership.
Your saved churches and visits
Saving a church, choosing a church home or adding a visit date requires sign-in. Those choices belong to your Word & Worship account and are not shared with churches, other users or AI chat. A visit plan does not make a reservation or send a message. Remove individual churches or dates in My Church; account export and deletion also include this information.
